Assignment of Tenancy by Landlord in SPA 1 Year, 6 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi, just want to know if the Purchaser agrees, is it possible for the Landlord (Vendor) to secure a tenancy during the period after signing of SPA and before the Completion Date?

If both parties are agreeable to such arrangement, can the Landlord (Vendor) sign an Assignment of Tenancy simultaneously with the signing of the Tenancy Agreement so as to enable the Landlord (Vendor) to assign his rights under the Tenancy Agreement to the Purchaser when the SPA is completed?
Thanks.

If so, why not prepare a new tenancy agreement with the new purchaser as the new landlord
upon the completion of the sale & purchase agreement.

Don't think you can save on stamp duty on the tenancy agreement by adding a clause
in the sale & purchase agreement.

In context, both are different as the subject of purchase is not the same as rental.
