anyone tell me what malaysia my second home has been like for them?

in particular, how long does the application take? and is the process difficult?

and is your wife allowed to work on MM2H?

officially wife cannot work nor can u but hey who's gonna chek. then again y u want 2 work pay is 2 low 4 expats unless u want a high end job and then u certainly cannot work.

application is easy peasy but now new ruling that u hav 2 hav agent 2 apply, a bummer but that means u pay them 4 nothing much really. approx rm5000. but if u buy property frm certain developers they wil process ure MM2h for only 3000, such as sepang gold coast developer.

if u r bringing car frm abroad its a killer 2 get the process done. my advice is 2 get gud local agent who wil clear the CAR as well and agree on full clearance, and jpj registration etc, approx further rm3-4000.

MM2H is easy process otherwise but rules hav been tightened. do it whilst its still easy , my advice bcoz they will only make it harder 2 join in the future as they r promoting heavily overseas.

ish, why will they make it harder to apply for mm2h in future if they are promoting it? other way around, no?

wot i meant was if more n more people join they wil make it harder by selecting best candidates. they hav already done so by doubling FD to rm300k whereas my frend only put in half 2 yrs ago. also although they want u 2 put 300k they r also looking 4 people with extra mthly income. wen i applied the lady i spoke 2 at mm2h office said show rm1m in your bank account n u wil get accepted n i did. also rules on car has changed now frm last yr, u cannot sell for 3 yrs. also u hav 2 use agent to apply!!!! so it wil get harder as it gets more popular coz its in their interest to get the real investors. my perception is that they r trying to promote property investors n the mm2h to b the tool for making it easier but actually u can do that anyway.

approx rm5000 for full application inc passport stamped with permit, then a further rm3-4000 for car AP permit and customs clearance, jpj reg and on the road taxed. so total rm8-9000 or upto max rm10,000 agents r charging. my view its expensive but i do know agents who can do it cheaper inc car clearance but u hav 2 contact me for that and i can do it for a a charge. ALL INC RM6-7000 DEPENDING ON COUNTRY OF ORIGIN AND ON YOUR DOCUMENTATION. if u r serious i can get it done without bribery all above board.....

just make sure you meet all the financial requirement & your application would be approved within 1-2 months
