I think I prefer to know both, for let's say RM350,000, sir, as I would like to have an overview about how taxes weigh for Malaysia properties...there's no taxes weigh, but for RM350k, you need to pay stamp duty of RM6k.

for your information as at 1/1/2010 the minimum purchase price for foreigner to purchase the property in Malaysia is RM500K and the foreigner no longer needs to get approval from Foreign Investment Committee (FIC) but they only need to submit a consent form to the relevant land office after they have signed the Sale and Purchase agreement. The foreigner needs to pay the stamp duty to the government Based on the purchase price ie in the case of the property with a purchase price of RM500k the stamp duty will be RM9k. Hope this info is helpful

hello hello yep I'm interested to buy residental property while i'm in malaysia. ok few facts :

I'm an Australian

Work in Malaysia as a teacher within the international scholls , in fact i'm in Selangor

I'm interested to buy around Selangor , close to my work.

I intend to stay here at list 5 years from now , this is my second year in selangor .

I'm interested to find out financial construction to borrow many from the bank.

Reading through the forum i learn that expats , are only alowed to start with 500K as a starting value of the property .
Is that true?

If it is, is it there any way around normaly ligal one, to be able to buy cheper residential property.

Any one can suggest what is the cost expences for stam duty , _layer_s, bank duty etc or other expences involved in a proces of buying a property ? Having in mind 500K .

My income is not excesive but is solid.

What is the time _frame_ of repaying the loan 15 yr , 25, or 30 , or....

Is it posible to reapy only interest for the initiated period of time lets say 5 years or so ....?

My age is 56 years of age. How the bank looks on the age limit to grand loan?, or anything else you may think that could be an issue or benifit Based of the provided information . I will very much appreciate any one can clear my fog on this issue.
Regards
Mishko
