YOU may not be aware of it, but everyone is at risk from the dangers of landslides. The perception is that only those living in hillside areas are in danger, but that only paints one small part of the picture.
The fact is we regularly move in, out and across areas where landslides can potentially happen. You may be visiting a friend or relative in a hillside area, or even driving on a road located on or adjacent to a slope: sometimes the risk exists and you may not even be aware of it. So even those living in “safe” flat areas will benefit from slope safety awareness – especially since we are now in the midst of the wet season again...
