iproperty fudging listings? 1 Year, 8 Months ago Karma: 0
I was looking on iproperty and on their home page they say they have 188k listings. About two weeks ago it was 85k!

I was wondering how their listings increased by more than 100,000 in only two weeks. So I counted all their listings by searching in each area and it's about 88k listings including rentals and all their commercial property.

Are iproperty really claiming to have 100,000 more listings than they actually have?

Dear Farin Fay, the 188k listings are indeed real time listings that can be searched for in the website. We appreciate that you took the time out to count our listings!

Thank you and have a lovely day ahead.

Is this really ipoperty or a thinkproperty person pretending to be iproperty? We'll never know!

Anyway. Very kind of you write back assuming you are from iproperty. So where the are the missing 100,000 listings? I looked in every state and tried buy and rent.

And how did the listings jump two weeks ago? How can the listings increase by 100,000 in one day?

Farin, i think it doesn't bother you too much on the claims, right?

It has no impact on you whatsoever. What's the fuss?

Lol! Haha... I think if i were you, i wouldn't count all the listings... Sorry to say that, the fact is that i don't bother how much listings they have, cause there's always this thing called marketing strategy or competition in every Listings website.

I am proud of Iproperty and Thinkproperty, cause they both are equally good.

I'm one of the iproperty user. The fact that the number of listings keep changing because of addition and reduction of advertising by each agent. With just one click, I can simply add a property or delete a property if it's sold

I agree with Ms. Stephanie! Nevertheless, just to have everybody an idea on what's going on NOW with the two (2) great property websites (iProp and Thinkprop), you may read the following article:

New Acquisition, June Records of IPGA

Its a one big family of property website!

Cheers!
