Nothing to be afraid as long as you don't sign anything, do not give your particulars and do not follow him/her to any office. Keep things neutral. You will be safe and sound . In whatever situation, you won't be scammed if you perceive it as "too good to be true". But people is enquiring about your property, doesn't look like any scam. You put your property on the market, obviously people is gonna call you. Meeting anybody is a good source of information or etc. People is unique, you learn things from people to people. Don't need to be afraid of this guy, perhaps he end up buying ur apartment,

just realised that foreigner can only buy property value at RM$500K above, my condo value around less than RM$200K. So it is not possible for him to buy as he is not Malaysian.

Luck-luck next time.. Just be thankful we have this kind of opportunity to exchange thoughts with each other. I think the bottom line, especially for the sellers, first know the basics of selling properties especially to foreigners so as not to have wasted efforts.. Just a friendly tip. Peace, man!

I once had someone that seemed really keen on buying my property. It's like they didn't care about the price and didn't negotiate.
Once we agreed the price - the asking price - they called a few days later saying their money was stuck in an account, and they needed just RM20,000 to release it!
It was so obviously a scam!

There is 1 big-time scammer that we stumbled upon in one of our developments. This bloody guy, even manage to scam our Tan Sri to meet him in person. Hilarious.
There is this guy, with his family of 3 that came to our exclusive pre-built bglow developments, ranging from RM15mil onwards. He was bragging that "people like us do not tell people how many houses we own" "I own more than 10 sports cars, and I was wondering whether the car porch can fit all of it". While heearing at his speech, at the same time, we were very suspicious as we look at the car he drove here, which is just a Pr*t*n G*n 2!! Of course, it causes suspicion (Hope not to discriminate, but it is hard sometimes......). Never mind, we continue entertaining him because we try to not judge a book by its cover, hoping that he is really genuine. After that, he said he has seen enough and decided to own the model house at RM15mil. However, he is seeking a discount and wants to see our Tan Sri. Eventually our Tan Sri saw him, and even our Tan Sri is convinced by him and both of them chit-chatting happily in the meeting room. Since then, our subsequent conversation with him raise a lot of doubts, as his self-proclaimed salutation dato bla bla bla doesn't even appear in google. He even said his driver will come with the cheque, and never appears. Worst still, he said he has transferred the downpayment to our account.....which never ever happens. Even worst, one of our calls to him he said "my money is stucked in some investment overseas, and the currency fluctuations are not stable....it will goto your bank acc once it is much stable.....don't kept calling me....I am a busy businessman...". Since then, that guy dissapears.
Hmmm....after eat rice got nothing to do?? Really...this kind of people is too free during SUNDAYS??? That is a saying that goes like this, if you tell a lie, you need to tell two extra lies to cover it.
I really feel sad for this kind of people.

Beware of scamsters for everything that attracts easy money for them... property included!
Their modus operandi are to befriend you first to gain your "trust". Then slowly at an appropriate time, they may use whatever sympathetic reason(s) to start digging for your personal particulars like Full Name; Address; Bank Account for transfer. Armed with these info, they could use your particulars for "behind the dark scene" to transact illegal business like "money laundry" anywhere in the globe.
Please be aware consciously...
