TOPIC: Foreign tenants- from middle east/muslim countries

Foreign tenants- from middle east/muslim countries 1 year, 7 months ago #18507

Hi guys,

I have recently notice that there are some foreigners from middle east and muslim countries and staying among some neirnourhood espeacially condominiums, some of them are families with kids. Wondering are they buy or rent property to stay in Malaysia, anyone have experience on that? If they are renting what is the transacted rental? I heard that they are quite demanding on the conditions of property, do they create problems like Nigeria/African tenants? Pls share.

regards,
Susan

From what I heard from the guards, most of them are quite dirty. There are many dirty units after they leave the condo.

They are also very demanding and rude, I encountered a few when I showed them my unit. It's as if their money is VERY big.

It is better to rent out to people from south east asia (eg. philipines, thailand). Of course, most people still prefer local chinese with less problem and prompt payment.

In my humble opinion, not all middle easterns or people from muslim countries are perceived as \"undesirable\" tenants. I rented my unit in Mont Kiara to an Iranian family. I am blessed to have this tenant as he is really friendly, humble and polite. Even his kids are equally good manners.

It is an issue of how the Landlord screen through his tenants before deciding one. Regardless of skin colour, all individuals are unique. Not everybody is a robber right? Even if you don't rent specifically to middle easterns, and perhaps renting to locals or maybe students, you can't guarantee they are good tenants, can you?

IMO, \"all individuals are unique\". All tenants are good tenants PROVIDED THAT you found THE RIGHT INDIVIDUAL. It is not about when we find the right \"colour\". Colour paints unlimited pictures, but a painter makes that happen. You found the right painter, you get unlimited pictures.

My 2 cents.

I agree with Mr. Chin Kim Keong, regardless of the race, religion, country or status of people who actually politely ask, talk, email or thru snail mail its interest with your property, it is premature for you to judge them of negative things whether you heard of something other people told you with regard to their kind.

As Mr. Chin mentioned \"all individuals are unique\". It will be up to the landlord to know more of his tenant to be, when they talk or meet in the long run.

HTH!

Hello & a very gd day to all.
We are trying to solve the problem faced by Susan. In this case, tenants from Middle East & Muslim countries. I regret with Mr. Vince Wong opinion tht most people only prefer local Chinese to rent a particular unit. We are Malaysians with multi races. Malaysia is also a moderate Islamic nation. So, no queries on the negative manners done by Muslim countries since Malaysia has shown to the world community tht it has the ability to resort something good.
