Depends on what is stated in the terms and conditions of your tenancy agreement.
If the terms do provide a valid reason for early termination and you signed to such an agreement, then you are legally bound.
No point in arguing since you are already subjected to such a term.
This explains why it is important to read all the clauses carefully.
Compensation is a form of liquidated damages and will only be awarded upon satisfying that a breach occured and is reasonably foreseen to have caused you to suffer a loss at the point the agreement is signed.
What loss have you suffer at the time you signed the agreement ?
If none, then, there is no breach of contract. Hence, no damages since no breach occured.
The agreement remains valid and legally binding upon the parties to the contract.
