Noisy dwellers at upper unit 3 Months ago

Good day everybody,
The apartment unit that is directly above mine is rented to arabs. The dwellers at that unit love to entertain and whenever there is a meet up (which is very often),there would be many people attending. They would play the music loudly, move around the unit with their high heels and shoes (dancing actually)and drag the furniture around. The noises from these activities really irritate me and it does not stop until past midnight. It is also a habit of theirs to wear their shoes in the unit at all times (the type of shoes that we wear outside the house) and whenever they walk around, each step can be heard at my unit below.
The security guards are of no help as the dwellers would turn a deaf ear on them whenever the guards reprimanded them. Sometimes, I had to personally go up and meet with them but they would just ignore me and carry on with their activities. The Management office has written to them but this is of no effect.
Would appreciate some good advise from readers as to what I can do to rid the nuisance. Thank you

A very difficult situation you're in. And very frustrating because it's something you have to deal with day in day out.
I think most Malaysians just ignore this type of thing. In the UK neighbours are a lot more upfront and willing to argue.
Regarding the shoes I don't think you can do anything. But if the noise is really loud from the music and it happens until late there must be some authority you can write to that will deal with this. Why not speak to the local authority?
What have the other neighbours said? Do they also hear the music? Obviously you're on the unit below but if some other neighbours agree with you it might be worth all of you meeting the neighbour over a coffee. But my advice is always be polite. If you start getting aggressive it will not help your situation. Try telling them how difficult it is for you to sleep rather than being rude to them saying "How dare you put the music on so loud, etc..."

That's why most people prefer landed properties than high rise dwellings.
It's a way to stay away from conflict of interest.

Hi Farin, thank you for your kind words of encouragement. It is so frustrating as I am an owner and they are just tenants and I have to endure their nonsense through no fault of mine. Am considering selling the unit but it is so hard to let it go as I really love the place. Am praying for the best. Thanks again for everything.
