I've got a degree in physics - I think metaphysics would have been more interesting!!!

So how do we know it actually works? Who decides on theories? How are theories tested?

And one more question. If I have a house number 4, but it's lot 8, will these numbers really make a difference? Aren't these numbers just labels. I mean a house with number 4 on the outside might have 8 rooms, 8 bathrooms, etc... Does the number you stick on the front of the house really make a difference to the fortunes of the people living in that house? And by suddenly changing the number (from, say 14 to 12A) will it really make any difference?

Before I had come to Malaysia I'd never heard of feng shui, but it seems like a really interesting topic.
