Anyone know of any high yielding property developments or properties in Malaysia?

I'd be interested in buying something with a rental return of something near 10% (high, I know).

Prima Regency at Plentong, Johor Bahru. Only studio units can fetch more than 10% pa. To own a studio unit of Prima Regency, the price is RM100k-RM110k for partly-furnished. RM120k + for furnished. The rental rate per month can be RM1200.

Thanks very much and it sounds like an exciting opportunity. But I'm a foreigner and so the minimum price is RM250k.

Any other places you know of? Are there any larger, more expensive, Prima Regency condos with similar rental yields?

I'm actually going to JB in a few days time and might check this place out.

Hi Asim,

Foreigners are allowed to buy completed properties more than RM350k in Johor. This is the state rule. Unless it's off-the-plan, then RM250k is applicable.

You can contact Mr Lim, +016-7226218 when u go to JB. He is a trustable agent with wide experience in JB condo market. I bought my units through him. I bought a studio unit of Sri Samudera Residence, nearby Hyatt Regency which is a prime location and 5 mins drive to Danga Bay. Another at Prima Regency @ Plentong.

Only studio units can fetch up to 10%. If 2 bedrooms or 3 bedrooms, i'm afraid the rental yield will be below 7% pa.
