TOPIC: Property Investment in Brisbane / Queensland / Australia ?

Property Investment in Brisbane / Queensland / Australia ? 9 months, 3 weeks ago #19627

As a Builder / Developer located in Brisbane, Australia, we are keen to understand any demand that may exist for Malaysians to purchase new House & Land or Apartments in Brisbane, Australia.
Your answers and recommendations will be greatfully received.
A new 3 Bedroom Home on 380 sq mts of land will sell for 1,300,000 MRY, this home would have 3 x Double size Bedrooms, Lounge, Dining Room, 2 Bathrooms, Study, Internal Laundry etc
Is this affordable ? compared to Malaysia ?
Does it represent a geat investment solution ?
Would a Malaysian Investor generally prefer to deal direct with us as the builder developer or via a local Malaysian Property Agent ?
We have heard many horror stories of properties being listed for sale in Malaysia where local representatives increase the asking price considerably and wish to avoid this practice and deal only with agents that offer a transparent and fair service to their client.
Any feedback or recommendations of agents would be appreciated.

Hi Peter, the measurement here to use is sqf. Whether investors would buy the property or not depends on what the rental return would be like.
As for affordability, isn\\'t Australia\\'s property market overheating right now? Are there still good buys in this current market?
