TOPIC: Who pays for the Tenancy Agreement?

Who pays for the Tenancy Agreement? 1 year, 2 months ago #19223

I rented out a unit ages ago...and have forgotten the 'Hows'.
Can any1 help me here?

1. Can I just change the tenant's name, dates and important info on the sample tenancy agreement?

2. If can, how do I personally (to save unnecessary expense) get to have it stamped made legal and where to do?

2. If the above cannot be done and a proper new Tenancy Agreement is needed, Who pays for the Lawyer fees? Tenant or Owner?

thanks.

1. If you have a valid and \"usable\" Tenancy Agreement, yes you only need to change the names, address, IC number, date and details in the Schedule 1.

2. Just forward the Tenancy Agreement for stamping at Lembaga Hasil. Any branches will do. I normally go to that at Kelana Brem Tower in Kelana Jaya.

3. The tenant bears the stamping fee.

CKK,

many thanks. I will do just that and help save the tenant the lawyer's fee (mostly photostating work anyway!). Every bit of savings help in such time.
